ABOUT US
We are Pretty Wedding Studios, a husband-and-wife team.
I (Dan) studied as a sound engineer and spent a good few years working in the music industry with renowned artists from U2 to Simply Red and Tom Jones to Justin Bieber recording live shows and mastering the technical side of video, sound and music.
The pandemic brought an abrupt and pivotal shift in my career. I turned my focus my skills on photography & videographer and particularly to weddings, seeing them as a ray of light and the ultimate celebration of love and joy:).
I (Yoly) have a background in the event and hospitality industry as well as photo & video editing; this gave me a deep understanding of what makes a celebration truly special. I am particularly moved by the speeches and the stories they tell, often finding myself tearful as I listen to the heartfelt words shared on the day.
We both take immense joy in crafting the videos and photos, weaving together each couple’s unique story into a beautiful, emotional narrative.
Dan focuses on the technical aspects and emotional depth of the day, Yoly brings warmth and creativity, ensuring that every wedding we capture is as unique as the couple at it’s centre.
Our mission is simple: To create wedding films and photographs that are a true reflection of the bride & groom’s most magical day, filled with a wonderful mix of emotions and the joy of family togetherness.
What sets us apart is our commitment to be very approachable working closely with each couple to understand their unique vision for their day, offering a free pre-booking video call and a pre-wedding video call to discuss the wedding day schedule and encouraging them to share specific shot ideas and favourite songs for their highlight video, to really get to know them and how we can come up with creative ideas unique to each wedding. This ensures that your wedding photos & videos is as unique as you and your love story.

FAQ
How does the process work?
Firstly, welcome and congrats on the announcement of your big day.
After either filling out the form below, messaging or emailing us, we will get in touch with you.
We try to reply on the same day, but this may take longer during busy periods.
Once we find out your requirements for your wedding, we will then offer a selection of our packages for you.
Can we arrange a consultation call before booking?
Absolutely and this is free of charge, where we can discuss your special day and any questions or thoughts you may have regarding our packages.
Are you able to provide more photo & video examples than the ones on the website?
Absolutely, when you get in touch with us please ask for additional photos & videos and we will of course provide some for you.
How much of a deposit do you require? When is it due?
We require a 25% deposit and this needs to be paid for your big day to be logged into our calendar.
Can you hold my date?
We work on a very fast moving booking system, especially during the peak months and therefore
we cannot hold dates as this would be unfair to other couples who are ready to pay their deposit for the same date.
Do you charge a travel fee?
We do not charge a travel fee within our main working region (South East England and London).
However, when we shoot weddings in other parts of the UK as well as overseas then there would be a travel fee for that, as I’m sure you can appreciate. Just let us know where your wedding is and we can discuss the details.
Will we receive a contract?
Once you have decided to book our services we will send you an invoice, with the terms and conditions attached.
How does the payment work?
We take payments primarily via bank transfers, but also Stripe & PayPal, should that be required.
Once the 25% deposit is paid, the balance is then due a week before the wedding, at the latest. If, however you would like to make monthly payments towards the 75% balance amount that is fine as well.
Do you have public liability insurance?
Yes we do, it covers up to £10,000,000.00
Do you have a license for your drone & pilot license?
Yes we do.
Wedding Preparations
Ok, so you have paid the 25% deposit and booked your wedding photo & / or video package with us, what next?
Firstly, we will get your big day booked into our calendar, we will then create and share a Google Wedding Day Schedule document with you, where you will be able to fill out any information regarding your wedding day schedule. This will automatically update for us when you add new information, so no need to share or export it for us.
This will all help us to be able to plan with you, the shoot for your wedding day.
For the wedding photography you will also be able to upload any specific “group shots” and any “couple shot” ideas you may have shot on the day.
For the wedding videography we ask who will be doing the speeches and for you to provide 3 songs, your favourite 3 songs.
These songs will be used for your personalised and unique wedding highlight video.
Do you offer pre-wedding calls?
Definitely:). Once we have the majority of the details in the Google Wedding Day document, we will arrange to hold a video call with you. During the call we will go through the wedding day’s schedule and ultimately make sure everything, from the shoot perspective is 100% ready for your big day.
This call is also free of charge.
Can we request a list of specific shots we would like?
Of course, you will be able to share those with us on the shared Google document you’ll receive when booking with us or via our WhatsApp chat, whichever is easiest for you.
Can you do extra hours?
Yes, we can be do extra hours, arranged prior to the wedding date.
But ultimately, let us know your thoughts and we’ll see how best we can accommodate you.
What about a back-up plan, do you have one?
Although it is extremely rare, there may be the occasion where we may be ill and / or are otherwise not available to shoot your big day. We have a very small group of 3 photographers and 2 videographers that we work with regularly and who deliver the same level of professionalism as us and who are able to step in for us.
If this is the occasion, we will make sure we introduce you to him, her or them prior to the wedding on a Zoom call and make sure everyone is happy and things go without a hitch on your wedding day:).
